Fears of Xenophobia Mount as the EU Expands its Territory and
Jurisdiction
 
For the vast majority of the Roma - the people who used to be called
Gypsies and who make up Europe's largest minority present in every
country on the continent - life has not improved. They are still denied
the kind of living standard and basic dignity taken for granted by the
non-Roma. However, there have been some small victories...
