Georgian Ministry for Reintegration, Minority Division on study tour in
the Danish-German border region

As part of the Council of Europe, Danida and ECMI programme "Enhancing
good governance, human rights and the rule of law", ECMI is organizing a
study tour for the representatives of the Georgian Ministry for
Reintegration, the Minority Division, to the Danish-German border region
in the period 8-11 March. The visit aims at strengthening the Georgian
authorities' knowledge of European models for the protection of ethnic
and national minorities. The eight-person delegation from Georgia is led
by Deputy Minister Mrs. Elene Tevdoradze, and accompanied by the
representatives of the ECMI's regional office in Georgia. During the
visit to the border region the delegation will have the opportunity to
look at the minority situation on the Danish and the German sides of the
border, and will meet with local council and province authority
representatives, the Parliament in Kiel as well as with a number of
minority
organizations.
