Advisory Committee: Election of an expert to the list of experts
eligible to serve on the Advisory Committee in respect of Italy
(Adopted by the Committee of Ministers on 16 June 2010 at the 1088th
meeting of the Ministers� Deputies) .....

Declare elected to the list of experts eligible to serve on the Advisory
Committee on the Framework Convention for the Protection of National
Minorities on 16 June 2010:
Mr Francesco PALERMO in respect of Italy.

Armenia:  visit of the Advisory Committee on the Framework Convention
for the Protection of National Minorities 

A delegation of the Advisory Committee on the Framework Convention for
the Protection of National Minorities will visit Yerevan and Ararat
Marz, from 21-24 June 2010 in the context of the monitoring of the
implementation of this convention in Armenia.

This is the third visit of the Advisory Committee to Armenia. The
Delegation will have meetings with the representatives of all relevant
ministries, public officials, as well as persons belonging to national
minorities. 

The Delegation includes Mr. Gaspar BIRO (member of the Advisory
Committee elected in respect of Hungary) and Mr Gjergj SINANI (member of
the Advisory Committee elected in respect of Albania). They will be
accompanied by Mr Krzysztof ZYMAN, Secretariat of the Framework
Convention for the Protection of National Minorities and of the DH-MIN.

Note: Armenia submitted its third State Report under the Framework
Convention in November 2009. Following its visit, the Advisory Committee
will adopt its own report (called Opinion), which will be sent to the
Armenian Government for comments. The Committee of Ministers of the
Council of Europe will then adopt conclusions and recommendations in
respect of Armenia.

Italy:  visit of the Advisory Committee on the Framework Convention for
the Protection of National Minorities 

A delegation of the Advisory Committee on the Framework Convention for
the Protection of National Minorities will visit Italy from 21-24 June
2010 in the context of the monitoring of the implementation of this
convention in Italy.

Advisory Committee: new composition

At the 1085th meeting of the Ministers' Deputies, on 21 May 2010 and the
subsequent resignation of the member elected in respect of Ukraine, the
current composition of the Advisory Committee on the Protection of
National Minorities is as follows:

1. Ms Lidija BASTA FLEINER (Serbia) � term expires in May 2014
2. Mr Gaspar BIRO (Hungary)- term expires in May 2012
3. Ms Aleksandra BOJADZIEVA (�the former Yugoslav Republic of
Macedonia�) - term expires in May 2014
4. Ms Anastasia CRICKLEY (Ireland) - term expires in May 2014
5. Mr Tonio ELLUL (Malta) - term expires in May 2012
6. Mr Zdzislaw W. GALICKI (Poland) - term expires in May 2012
7. Ms Aliona GROSSU (Moldova) - term expires in May 2014
8. Mr Rainer HOFMANN (Germany) - term expires in May 2012
9. Ms Milena KLAJNER (Croatia) - term expires in May 2014
10. Ms Larysa LOIKO (Ukraine) - term expires in May 2012 resigned
11. Mr Giorgi MELADZE (Georgia) - term expires in May 2012
12. Ms Iulia MOTOC (Romania) - term expires in May 2012
