CEPS reports on education and participation of migrants and ethnic
minorities in the EU
The Centre for European Policy Studies (CEPS) has recently published
three reports as part of the INCLUD-ED Project, an Integrated Project
focused on compulsory education of the 6th Framework Programme of the
European Commission. The reports are entitled �Education and Political
Participation of Migrants and Ethnic Minorities in the EU: An Overview
of the Literature�, �Education and Political Participation of Migrants
and Ethnic Minorities in the EU: Policy Analysis� and �EU Policy on
Education: The Impact on the Social Inclusion of Vulnerable Groups�. The
first report delves into the different understandings of educational
inclusion and political participation, which vary significantly from one
author to the other. The second report aims at providing an overview of
the ways in which the link between the education and political
participation of migrants and minorities is being developed by EU
policy. The third report aims at analysing the main literature dealing
with the influence that European Union policies related to education may
exert on the social inclusion of vulnerable groups at national arena
level.
