PEACE IN CHECHNYA? UNITY OF RUSSIAN AND UKRAINIAN ORTHODOX CHURCHES?
The Goals Seem Remote but Moscow Forges Ahead

The Kremlin is moving forward on two fronts: to stop the simmering armed
conflict in Chechnya and to recapture control over Ukraine's
independent-minded, "schismatic" Orthodox church.
