Dear minority NGO representatives,
This is to let you know that the NGO Rights and Democracy is organizing a
workshop during the week-end 8-9 December in Geneva on the Universal Periodic
Review of the HR Council. This workshop is not intended to benefit only
indigenous peoples/minorities but Right and Democracy will select 20 persons
preferably representing NGOs or NHRIs from developing countries to participate
in this workshop. Please note that they will only be able to provide
translation in English and French and they do not have funding available for
the travel of participants. It might, however, be interesting for persons who
are already in Geneva for the HR Council.
Please find attached a description of this event, as well as the draft agenda
and the application form (in English and French). The deadline to apply is: 30
November.
