LAW ON REPATRIATION OF TURKS MESKHETINS TO GEORGIA GOES INTO EFFECT
BAKU/03.08.07/TURAN: The law on repatriation of the Turks Meskhetins to
the historical motherland signed by the Georgian President has entered
into force, Nuraddin Sasiyev, a member of the Council of Azerbaijan's
division of Vatan society, told TURAN.
He said first the financial aspects of resettlement must be resolved.
People wishing to return should apply for repatriation. Sasiyev added
that Turks Meskhetins living in three continents can apply to divisions
of Vatan society in various countries. It is difficult to forecast how
many Turks Meskhetins will return to Georgia, said
Sasiyev.
