Dear MINELRES list members, 

We would like to draw your attention to the following appeal by an
Austrian Initiative regarding bilingual place name signs in Carinthia,
Austria. A substantial Slovenian minority lives there, and, according to
the Austrian law, they are entitled to broad minority rights, including,
inter alia, bilingual place name signs. However, notorious Jorg Haider,
governeur of that province, refuses to implement this law, and even
ignores the ruling of the Austrian Constitutional Court.
