Human rights are regularly violated in Lithuania, according to an
overview released 10 June by Human Rights Monitoring Institute in the
first such comprehensive attempt by an indigenous non-governmental
organization.

The overview points to worrisome violations of respect for private life,
right to fair trial and right to political participation. Victims of
crime, domestic violence, human trafficking and age discrimination face
additional vulnerabilities, along with street children, disabled
individuals and migrants.
