We would like to remind all concerned persons that The Ninth
International Conference of the International Academy of Linguistic Law
� Law, Language and Linguistic Diversity � will take place from
September 15  to September 18,  2004, (Wednesday-Saturday), in Beijing,
China, in co-operation with the China University of Political Science
and Law and the Institute of Applied Linguistics, Chinese Ministry of
Education.  The Conference will be held at the Beijing Friendship Hotel
(No 1, Zhongguancun Nandajie, Haidian District; tel.: 86-010-68499267; 
fax: 86-010-68499168).


The working languages of the Conference are Chinese, English and 
French.


The Scientific Committee of the Conference is formed by Profs. Li
Yuming, Xu Xianming, Wang Jie, Guo Chengwei, Su Jinzhi and Zhou
Qingsheng (Beijing) and Profs. Denise Daoust, Angeline Martel, Andre
Braen, Joseph-G. Turi and Jose Woehrling (Montreal and Ottawa).

Abstracts of papers (200-400 words) should be sent before January 31,
2004.  The registration fee is 200 $ US before January 31, 2004 (250 $
after this date). The fees include documentation, the Conference lunches
and one day tour.
