Conference and call for papers

There is an acute lack of communication among human rights NGOs,
governments and international organisations; as a result human rights
issues rarely get addressed in the international or national political
arena.

The situation of Roma Women started to become a main concern as they are
facing not only multiple discrimination but also practically they have
no representation at the political level.

A change is badly needed and the Conference in Bucharest tries to give
concrete solutions for this to happen as it has a multistakeholder
approach and brings together all the important players. Organised by a
multitude of organizations dealing from designing policies to political
lobbying and hosted by the Romanian Parliament it will provide, we hope,
one of the best opportunities for finding ways to improve a disastrous
situation.

Please visit our conference website at: http://www.erionet.org/Femei.htm

We launched a call for papers at: http://www.erionet.org/Abstracts.html.
Invited speakers will have their costs covered by the organisers.

Target groups: Politicians, Human Rights activists, Roma, students,
academicians, people working in mass media, international organisations
