Dear Colleagues,

The Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights presents its
compliments to non-governmental organizations and has the honour to
refer to General Assembly resolution A/56/266, of 27 March 2002,
entitled "Comprehensive implementation and follow-up to the World
Conference against Racism, Racial Discrimination, Xenophobia and Related
Intolerance", requesting the High Commissioner for Human Rights to
report annually to the Commission on Human Rights and the General
Assembly on progress made in the implementation of the provisions of the
Durban Declaration and Programme of Action.

A comprehensive report on this subject has been submitted to the
fifty-eighth session of the General Assembly. If non-governmental NGOs
with ECOSOC status or accredited specifically to the World Conference
against Racism have any complementary information they are invited to
forward their contributions to the Anti-Discrimination Unit by 5
December 2003, to be taken into consideration for the report on this
subject to the next session of the Commission on Human Rights.

Organizations should indicate their accreditation status on their
submissionin order for it to be taken into consideration. If submissions
are sent by e-mail, please indicate "CHR report" in the subject line.
You are kindly requested to limit your contributions to 1 page per
organization.

Thank you for sending contributions by mail to Ms. Marie-Dominique
Mornet, Secretary of the Anti-Discrimination Unit, UNOG-OHCHR, 1211
