UNITED E-NEWS: Urgent call for young anti-racists to nominate for
participation in Mandela visit in South Africa.

MTV Europe will take three young people to South Africa next June, for a
meeting with Nelson Mandela. MTV is making a documentary on the life of
Mr. Mandela and is now looking for young people whose lives in some way
mirror Mandela's - for example someone living under an oppressive regime
and someone who suffers from discrimination. The programme would give
young people an opportunity to ask Mr Mandela about his life and
experiences and hopefully get some advice in return. MTV would film
these young people at home in Europe and also take them to South Africa
to meet Mr Mandela.

Profile:
Young person (male or female) aged between 17 and 23-25 (possibly
Muslim) who has an interesting story to tell about how he and his family
are dealing with racism within their community
Able to talk passionately about what life has been like for them living
near racists
Actively campaigning against racism
Speaking English
Available in June

If you are interested, or if you want to propose somebody else, please
contact urgently Nita Camburn at MTV:
Her phone number is +44 207 478 6779 or email [email protected]
