Subject: Conference on dominant-group ethnicity
The Association for the Study of Ethnicity and Nationalism (ASEN),
together with the British Council and ESRC will be sponsoring a one-day
conference at the London School of Economics (LSE) on "Majority Groups
and Dominant Minorities: Conceptualising Dominant Ethnicity." This will
take place on 16th December 2002 at the Shaw Library, LSE, London, U.K.
The aim is to examine the nature of dominant-group ethnicity, and the
interconnections between dominant ethnicity and national identity. A
