RTC
Skills & Strategies for Peace
Responding to Conflict

Greetings! I am writing with information about some of RTC's activities
and resources in 2002/2003:

New for 2002: a Certificate in Conflict Resolution Skills will take
place from 8th - 22nd September by The
Richardson Institute and the Management School at Lancaster University,
in partnership with RTC. The
Certificate will be taught as an intensive residential course at
Lancaster University and aims to provide practical skills-based training
in the handling of social and political conflict.

A five-day workshop. Strengthening Policy and Practice - practical
strategies for agencies working in areas of tension and conflict, will
be held from 18th - 22nd November 2002.

Working with Conflict: the ten-week international course will take place
from 28th April - 4th July 2003.

The fifth, and final, video in the Linking Practice to Policy series is
now available. Practice to Policy -
Making the Connections brings together the experience and insights of
practitioners with those of policymakers in Africa, showing the need to
make connections in peacebuilding so that policy-shaping and
practice inform and support each other. It is available for 20 (inc
postage and packing) or 85.00 for the complete set.

We also have a promotional video which is available on loan: Windows of
Opportunity gives highlights from
the four case studies produced through the LPP video series.

More information about RTC's work and the resources we have available;
