London Romani Studies Seminars

6.30pm - 7.45pm

Room 020, Queen Anne Building
University of Greenwich, Maritime Greenwich Campus
30 Park Row
London SE10 9LS

A series of seminars examining the historical, social, political,
economic and cultural experience of the Roma, Traveller & Gypsy
peoples in the world today.

The new seminar series will begin on December 13th when the London
Romani Studies seminar will have the pleasure of welcoming back Dr.
Martin Kovats, who will present a provocative paper dealing with the
current situation in Hungary. Dr. Kovats will be shortly be taking up
a post in Budapest, so his comments will have a particular pertinence
both on the subject and for all those working with Roma communities.

On January 24th 2002, Adrian Marsh will be presenting "Reaching the
Roma: extending the Traveller Education Service provision", based upon
his experience of teaching and working with the Roma communities of
Haringey.

We hope you will attend both sessions and be able to join us for the
post-seminar drinks in the Trafalgar Arms nearby!
