New List "Ethnopolitics"



A new mailing list has been set up to facilitate discussion within the
broadly defined field of Ethnopolitics, both in terms of research and
teaching, by encouraging exchange between academics and practitioners
on issues related to (non-immigrant) ethnic minorities, minority
rights, and the origin, development and settlement of ethnic
conflicts.

The list is open to the exchange of ideas, to the circulation and
discussion of working papers, and to the debate of current issues in
the field. Book, journal, and article reviews are as welcome as calls
for papers and conference and workshop announcements. The list is
particularly keen to stimulate research cooperation beyond
disciplinary and geographical boundaries.

There is no specific regional focus for debate, and there no limits on
discussion topics either provided they fall within the defined theme
of the Ethnopolitics list and comply with usage guidelines set out in
the Mailbase Acceptable Use Policy. This discussion lists operates a
zero tolerance policy for racist and supremacist postings senders of
such material will immediately be removed from the list, barred from
posting any messages to the list in the future, and the list owner
reserves the right to take legal action where appropriate.
