9 NOVEMBER 2000: commemoration of the "Kristallnacht" pogrom
International Day Against Fascism and Anti-Semitism

Already actions in 29 countries! And the list continues to grow. A new
updated list of activities is available on the UNITED website
http://www.united.non-profit.nl. Print it now and use it in your
activities. If you cannot use the list as it is on the web, ask the
UNITED secretariat to send you an attached file with the list.

Join the solidarity chain
In the new list of activities you find the contact details of all
organisations who have joined the campaign until now. As racism and
fascism pervade our societies - and even in some cases our governments
- we should show each other that we care!
Underneath is an example of a message of solidarity. You could send
such messages to all organisations on this list, that are preparing
activities. We should let each other know that we want to "RESIST
AGAINST INTOLERANCE"!

-----------------
Message of solidarity
to organisations participating in 9 November
International Day Against Fascism and Antisemitism
commemoration of the "Kristallnacht" pogrom

Dear friends,

In at least 29 countries activities are taking place on this special
date. All over Europe thousands of people are commemorating the
"Kristallnacht" pogrom in their own way.

This November 9 we especially ask attention for resistance against
intolerance. With these activities we want to get the attention of the
general public but also of the governments. Discrimination and
intolerance are not tolerable in a democratic society. Of course our
struggle goes on after this day. Resistance is needed every day!

The activity you are organising is not an individual one. All the many
groups in Europe which are active around 9 November 2000 are part of a
common movement. All of us fight against fascist tendencies and
antisemitism. We will go on to be active to make both the governments
and the public aware of their responsibilities. "Never Again" will
otherwise only be an empty slogan. We wish you strength, luck and
success in your activities.

RESIST AGAINST INTOLERANCE!
