Round the country caravan trip of the Roma in Romania

The Roma of Romania are planning to engage in a crusade and set off on
a caravan trip round the country in October-November, in order to
persuade the country councils that they have the right and the power
to establish County Commissions for the Roma and start partnerships
for the social integration of the Roma.

The schedule of the manifestation and the itinerary of the caravan
have been decided by the Alternativa civica a romilor (The Civic
Alternative of the Roma), the Roma Party of Romania the Community
Development Agency "Impreuna" (Together) and the Foundation for the
Emancipation of the Roma "Aven amentza".

The organizers have also drafted a Collaboration Protocol to be signed
by the County Councils, the Interministerial Subcommission for the
Roma, the County Committees of the Roma Associations' Working Group,
and also by other local institutions and associations that wish to
establish partnerships with the signatories of the protocol.

Romania, the Romanian Diaspora in the neighboring countries,
nationalism in general, multi- and intercultural education. It
