The European Institute for Conflict Management will held a course on
"Conflict and Culture", 29 November till 4. December 1999 in Southern
Germany.
 
The aim of this intercultural training is to enlarge the social
competence in the field of  a cultures in dialog:

- Learning about personal competences
- Getting a good awareness about the own life-situation
- Widening of communication competence
- Increasing the possibilities of interaction in conflict situations
 
Target group:

- Hosts/hostesses and trainers in international seminars and meetings
- Social workers and educators in a multi-cultural work field
- Workers in refugee camps and refugee organisations
- Trainers working in crisis and conflict areas
 
Training Topics:

- Understanding group-processes and the influence of cultural
conditions
- Teamwork and the cultural background of leaders� behavior
- Roles, functions and conflicts in a group
- Sensibility for the discrimination
- The problem of internal discriminations
- How to contact other cultures
