Re: Newspaper of Yezids in Armenia

Dear all,

It should be pointed out that the official number of Yezidi in the
Republic of Armenia is put at 50,000. Unfortunately, the community is
split, with one side believeing that it's origins come from Kurdish
origins, while the other believes itself to be a unique ethnic group.
The division is further complicated by the fact that the Yezidi
community speaks the Kurmanji dialect of Kurdish. For more information
on the division in the largest ethnic minority in Armenia, please
