PUBLICATION OF THE "YEZDINERY DZAIN" NEWSPAPER RENEWED

BAKU. 2 October. MPA - Noyan Tapan: After 7 months long break, a
newspaper "Yezdinery Dzain" will be published again in Armenia. This
is the only Yezidi newspaper in the world (established in 1991, 46
issues have been released). As the chairman of the organisation
"Presidium of the Yezidi National Union of the Republic of Armenia"
Aziz Tamoyan pointed out, the circulation is 1,000 copies. Published
in Armenian, the newspaper will contain rubrics on culture, history,
religion. Aziz Tamoyan also said that a book under the title "Menk
Yezdy Enk" has been prepared for publication - on history, belief and
traditions of the Yezids. In Armenia, where 25,000 Yezids live, also
the only in the world radio broadcast in Yezidi language exists, and
unit of Yezidi language works at M.Mashtots's pedagogical school.
