3. Attempt upon Head of Ajaria's Life Is under Preparation?
 
The head of the Autonomous Republic of Ajaria Aslan Abashidze declared
yesterday that an attempt upon his life was under preparation. He
affirms that he has incontrovertible evidences that a coup was ordered
by the Georgian State authorities.

4. Russian Frontier Guards are Leaving Abkhazia
 
The withdrawal of Russian frontier troops from the Georgian
territorial waters is going on. At this stage the Russian patrol ships
are leaving Abkhazia.

2. The Armenian Premiere Held in Baku

Armenia which is somewhat isolated in the Caucasus and alied with
Russia showed its interest to participate in the global Caucasian
project TRACECA (The Transcaucasian Corridor Europe-Caucasus-Asia).
The newspaper considers that this is the beginning of a new policy:
conflict settlement by means of economics.

The superinflation of Russian Ruble facilitated penetration of the
Georgian currency into Abkhazia: in spite of  Ardzinba's reaction,
