Dear Sirs,

UNHCR Ankara Branch Office has initiated a project on compiling a list
of Internet-available Russian-language information sources for UNHCR
NIS offices and NGOs on the following topics:

1) Russian language Country of Origin information for Afganistan,
Iraq, Iran, Tajikistan, Sierra Leone, Angola, Congo (general and
in-depth information on geography, economy, political situation,
political parties, political, religious, ethnic groups and minorities,
the press and media, protest movements, political leaders)

2) Information concerning aliens, refugees and citizenship legislation
in Russia, Ukraine, Moldova (Moldavia), Belorussia, Azerbaijan,
Georgia, Armenia in official local language, Russian (very important)
and English.

3) Information on research centers/think tanks/NGOs working on
migration, refugee and citizenship/statelessness issues. Any
internet-available data on those organizations, their activities,
publications, projects would be much appreciated. Resources in Russian
(very important) and English are of primary interest.

I would be thankful for any information regarding the above-mentioned
topics (web-sites, e-mail addresses of supervisors, ftp-addresses,
posting addresses, Internet libraries, etc. Free and paid-for
subscription sources are welcome)

The information compiled will be used by UNHCR NIS offices and
interested NGO/GOs in the form of a relevant Internet site and monthly
e-mail reports, as reference landmarks in their work with refugees,
asylum seekers, migrants, stateless persons from the countries,
mentioned in Para(1) of this message.

Thank you very much in advance,

Sincerely yours,
Kemal Seitveliev
