>From August 28th until 7 September the WCAR will take place in Durban,
South Africa, as you all know. We will cover the NGO Forum (28 August
31 August) and the GO conference (31 August 7 September). Every
evening a short daily report will be posted to the UN Discussion list.
If you want to receive these reports, subscribe by sending an email to
[email protected] with the subject "Subscribe un-discussion"

As all major UN Conferences, the WCAR too, had its problems. These
were discussed at length in the three Preparatory Conferences. See the
ICARE reports about this on our website: http://www.icare.to. No doubt
that we will write about these ongoing discussions. But perhaps far
more important are the numerous possibilities to meet people and
discover new insights or relevant developments in dealing with racism.
We will write about these stories daily in the English part of the
ICARE reports. For interesting news of whatever kind, you can reach us
