EVERYTHING ABOUT THE HISTORY OF JEWS IN AZERBAIJAN - IN M.BEKKER'S
BOOK 

BAKU. 9 August. MPA: Here published a signal issue of the new book
written by the chairman of the Association of European (Ashkinazi)
Jews, Moshe Bekker, titled "Jew of Azerbaijan: History and Nowadays"
(circulation 1,000 copies). As Bekker told MPA, on the basis of
factual data the ways of migration of Jews into Azerbaijan are traced,
and the causes of their appearance here after the creation of the
Akhemenid state are studied. Special attention is paid to the issue of
appearance of the Mountain Jews in Azerbaijan, who resided within the
borders of the Gubin and Mekin khanates, as well as to the causes of
resettlement of the Ashkinazi Jews influenced by anti-Semitic pogroms
in southern and western areas of the Russian empire.
