International training seminar for Nonviolence - Ohrid 1999


In the period September - October 1999, Embassy for Peace-Macedonia in
cooperation with the Center for Nonviolent Action from Sarajevo,
organize a two training events (10 days each) on regional level for
NGO's, media and political parties, 18-33 years of age.
 
Each training event will enroll 20 participants from: Greece, Albania,
Bulgaria, Yugoslavia and Kosovo, Bosnia, Serbia (2 participants from
each country) and Republic of Macedonia.
 
Training - seminars will be facilitated by a five-members training
team. The working language is English.
 
Themes:         

Introduction
Teambuilding
Decision making/consensus
Prejudice awareness
Tolerance/Difference
Identity awareness (national and personal)
Communication
Nonviolent conflict transformation
Dealing with violence
Refugees and citizens
 
For participation in one of the events it is necessary to submit the
enclosed application form to the organizers.
 
Both travel and accommodation will be covered by the organizers. All
extraordinary and unexpected costs will not be subject of a refund.
 
Notice: Travel expenses are to be covered by the Soros Network.
Therefore, the eligible participants should contact Open Society
Institute in their countries and apply for covering travel expenses
to/from Skopje (return ticket) immediately as they receive positive
notification.
