Subject: MINELRES archive available on WWW and other list matters
Dear colleagues,
I am glad to announce that from July 1 the MINELRES mailing list's archive
is available on the web at the following URL:
http://www.riga.lv/minelres/archive.htm
The archive is also supplied with the (Excite-based) local search engine,
thus, you can search archive by keyword (country, name or whatever you wish).
You can also just go to http://www.riga.lv/minelres/index.html and click on
the "List archive" button - or also have a look at other MINELRES website's
pages. Two basic ones (Country information and Minority information) are
still empty, I would like to collect more information before uploading the
files. Some others are still also rather poor, yet, I work hard to fill them
:-) Any relevant information worth placing on the web, your advise, critical
comments or prompts will be highly appreciated.
One more issue. The time of summer vacations is coming, and many subscribers
will apparently be away from their offices. Frankly, I wouldn't like to
stop the list's traffic for this time. Instead I suggest that the moderator
slows down the traffic and limit it to for example 2-3 messages a week - in
order not to cause jam for those people who will be away. What do you think
about this proposal?
Of course, everybody can also temporarily exclude himself from the
subscribers' list by sending the POSTPONE command to the [email protected]
