Meeting of Georgian, Abkhazian and South-Ossetian journalists held
under the auspices of the OSCE is opened in Moscow

MOSCOW, 10 June. /ITAR-TASS corr. Tengiz Pachkoria/.

Today in Moscow, in the "Academicheskaya" hotel conference room, a
meeting of Georgian, Abkhazian and South-Ossetian journalists will be
opened. The meeting is devoted to the role of media in conflict
management and restoration of confidence between the parties. The
conference will continue for two days. 26 journalists - 11 Georgian, 7
Abkhazian and 7 South Ossetian - take part in the event. The forum is
held under the auspices of the OSCE and with active participation of
the Tbilisi and Moscow branches of "Internews". From 12 till 24 June,
in the same venue, training for Georgian, Abkhazian and South-Ossetian
TV-journalists and cameramen will be held. The latter event will be
held under the auspices of the OSCE and with active participation and
financial support of the government of the United Kingdom and BBC
company.
