Linguistic Rights Info

I would like to bring to the attention of MINELRES two new important
sources of information on linguistic rights.

The first one involves UNESCO's MOST (Management of Social
Transformations) www Clearing House on Linguistic Rights
(http://www.unesco.org/most/ln1.htm) which contains a site with
national constitutional provisions involving language, international
documents on linguistic rights, important links to other linguistic
sites and many other documents of interest in this area.

There will be an update soon, and this site is possibly one of the
more comprehensive on the Internet in terms of linguistic rights.

Another valuable resource at http://www.osi.hu/fmp/laws/ is a well
organised site on "Language Policies in Central Asia". The people at
the Forced Migration Projects (FMP), Open Society Institute in
Budapest have also done good work here, with a compilation of laws and
other regulatory acts pertaining to the language policies in Central
Asia states. The site also provides some analysis of the impact of
language policies in terms of migration movements in Kazakstan,
Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.
