The Parliament of The Republic of Kabardino-Balkaria passed a law "on
repatriates" allowing a return to the Republic for all those who were
forced to leave their homeland in the course of the XIX century
Caucasian war, post-revolutionary reprisals, two world wars, etc. The
repatriates are guaranteed social, economic and other rights and
benefits, to be paid from the Republic's budget.
 
The new law on repatriation have thus removed the legal restrictions
on repatriates. There is still today people alive in diaspora who were
forced to leave their homeland during the 20th Century. (Agency
