UNITED Seminar
"Stepping Stones and Roadblocks in the Struggle against Racism"
3-7 May 2000, in France

In the framework of the Stepping Stones Project - a partnership of
UNITED for Intercultural Action, the European region of the
International Lesbian and Gay Association (ILGA-Europe) and Mobility
International -, UNITED is going to organise a Seminar in France, near
Paris, from the 3rd until the 7th of May.

The main objective of the Project and of the Seminar is to bring
together activists of NGO's that are dealing with different forms of
discrimination. The participants in this Seminar will have the
opportunity of exchanging opinions and experiences in fighting
discrimination provoked by sexual orientation, racism and disability.
Assuming that the origin of discrimination may be different, but that
the consequences are very often the same (lack of equal rights,
opportunities, etc.), the delegates are expected to:

- Discuss around the concept of discrimination;
- Exchange good practices, ideas and experiences in each field of
action;
- Discuss proposals for future joint actions.

You can find the invitation, the programme and the registration of
interest form on http://www.united.non-profit.nl. If you are
interested in being a delegate at this Conference, please contact
UNITED as soon as possible!

NOTE:

costs of the European Union (EU) inhabitants. Nevertheless if you live
in Central and Eastern Europe and your organisation can pay for your
