Citizenship issues in Crimea

Some time ago, in response to a posting about the citizenship problems
faced by Crimean Tatars, there was a request for English-language
information on this issue. Almost all of the sources which deal with
this issue are in Russian or Ukrainian. However, at least one useful
source is available in English. Right now I can't locate my copy of
the English-language version of this publication, but I have several
issues of the Russian-language version, which is entitled "Grazhdanin"
[Citizen].

At least four issues of this bulletin have been published to date (the
latest version I have is No.4, published in 1997) by the "'Sodeistvie'
Foundation for Naturalization and Human Rights". The Director of this
Foundation is Vladimir Zubarev, and the editor of the bulletin is
Elvedin Chubarov. The telephone/fax number of the Foundation, which
is based in Simferopol, is (0652) 27 87 39. The address is as
follows:

vul. Raketnaya, d. 10
Simferopol, Crimea
Ukraine

The above-mentioned bulletin contains a variety of articles on various
aspects of the citizenship and adaptation problems faced by the
Crimean Tatars and other residents of Crimea, and should be of
interest to those who would like to have more information on this
issue.
