Conference: Crisis Management in the South Caucasus


A CONFERENCE IN YEREVAN

On 25-26 February, 2002 representatives of Georgia, Azerbaijan and
Armenia came together in Yerevan, Armenia to meet in the conference on
Crisis Management in the South Caucasus organized by PfP Consortium.
Conference brought eight experts to Yerevan from each country. Meeting
passed in mutual understanding and warm atmosphere. Head of Azerbaijan
delegation, Dr. Elkhan Nuriyev, one of the coordinators of the event,
Doctor at Peace Research Information Unit Bonn (PRIUB) proposed a
minute silence to honour the memory of those killed in Khojaly tragedy
1992, on Feb 25-26. Conference was close to media. The continuation of
the conference will be held in Baku, April. Then it will be held in
Paris, Zurich and other world cities with the participation of the
experts from the region and the world. Co-chair of Society for
Democratic Reforms, Mr. Razi Nurullayev took part in the conference.
