Book on Roma in CEE: Urgent plea for photographs

We are preparing for publication the most important book yet in our
publishing programme on the Roma. Edited by Will Guy of the University
of Bristol and with an Introduction by Ian Hancock of the University
of Texas it is called:

BETWEEN PAST AND FUTURE: THE ROMA OF CENTRAL AND EASTERN EUROPE
You can see the Contents Page at:
http://www.herts.ac.uk/UHPress/past%26futureRoma.html

I am looking for powerful pictures showing the social position of the
Roma in the different countries of the region, also key personalities
in Roma politics, pictures taken at the WRC and anything will will
help convey the real issues confronting the Roma and the way they are
seeking to tackle them.

If you think you can help please reply to this mail urgently!

Thank you,

Bill Forster

Research on Roma presence in the media

Dear friends,

I am a communication doctoral student at the University of Kentucky
who is doing research on Roma presence in the media. I am most
interested in studying how the Roma are gaining a voice through the
use of new media, and how this is being received by other societies as
well as within Rom culture.

I would greatly appreciate having a copy of the report on Roma people
in your country.

In my paper I would love to include the perspectives of Rom who are
leading the current efforts. Perhaps you know of someone who would be
interested in corresponding with me. I would also be interested
learning about any other resources you feel might be useful to me.

Thank you for your time.

Best regards,
Suzie Allard
