New materials available by request and online

 Dear MINELRES subscribers,

Materials mentioned by Alexander Ossipov in his recent posting are
available by request now:

- The "Memorial"'s newsletter on Meskhetians in Krasnodar territory
of December 5, 1997 - 19 Kb in MSDOS (plain) text;

- Report by The Human Rights Center of Memorial on compliance
of the Russian Federation with the Convention on the Elimination of
All
Forms of Racial Discrimination (CERD) of March 1998 - 50 Kb in
MSDOS text.

Besides, the former document is available also online - see the
Meskhetians' page of the "Minority Information" chapter of the
MINELRES web site. Following recent discussions on Crimean Tatars
and Meskhetians, I compiled collections of the Interent resources on
these issues. Of course, they are probably not exhaustive, I will be
grateful for the prompts to other relevant links. However, it is
striking
how little information on these problems, particularly on Meskhetians,

can be found in the omniscient and all-embracing Internet :-(.

Boris
