NEW ROMA ORGANIZATION IN UK

In recent years, some 4,000 Roma from Romania have sought asylum in
the UK as a result of an upsurge in racially-motivated attacks. Few
have so far been granted asylum.

One of those is Florina Zoltan, whose husband and a brother died when
a mob set fire to some 20 houses in her village. A long-time activist
and now a refugee in Britain, Florina is on the steering committee of
Europe-Roma and a member of the Gypsy Council.

In order to help other Roma from Romania, she is now forming a new
organization, which will work with the European Roma Federation
(linking refugee and support groups).

The foundation meeting of the new organization will take place at:

1pm on Wednesday - 30 January - at

WHITE CITY COMMUNITY CENTRE
India Way, White City Estate
London Wl2
nearest Underground: White City

You are cordially invited to attend!
