*****************

Dear NGO's

One next event of the ACC is the so-called Transylvania Community
College 2001.

We would like to draw your attention to the project. Please make
public among your contacts in Europe the possibility of taking part in
this two-week event.

Please confer the www.acc.eu.org (section "programmes and events")for
a program, a complete project-description and an application form.

The ACC Transylvania Committee -consisting of Laszlo Dani
(representative of the board), Agota Illyes (co-ordinator) and Barna
Kovacs (co-ordinator)- is going to arrange and carry through the
Transylvania Community College Course between 24 June - 7 July 2001 in
Odorheiu-Secuiesc (Szekelyudvarhely/Oderhellen) Romania, in order to
let young active NGO-members of all Europe become familiar with the
case of this ethnically mixed region and to raise the debate on
specific questions relevant for South and Eastern Europe, especially
Transylvania, in the context of the EU-enlargement. Please confer the
www.acc.eu.org for a program, a complete project-description and an
application form. The European Commission and the European Youth
Foundation already support the project. We expect lodge, board and
travel to be free, even though a small fee may be necessary. The
objective of the course is in accordance with the general aims of the
ACC to stimulate a common European debate on questions and political
problems shared by the Europeans. The Transylvania Community College
in particular is going to deal with the future perspectives of the
Central-Eastern-European minorities in the context of the EU
enlargement. The course developed for Transylvania is going to be a
showcase of the general strategy of the ACC, creating more Community
Colleges for an Open Europe.

Looking forward to seeing you
Barna Kovacs & Agota Illyes
