"ROMA TIMES" - FIRST INDEPENDENT ROMANI NEWSPAPER
The first issue of the independent Romani newspaper "Roma times" was
promoted yesterday in Skopje. 60% of the contents of the newspaper are
written in Romani language and the rest in Macedonian and English.
Principal financier and founder of the newspaper is Zoran Temov
(director of the Romani information agency - RIA) and Muarem Ramus is
the editor in chief. The first issue was printed in 3.000 copies,
contains 16 pages text and will be published three times a week.
 
"GLOBAL"  - IN MACEDONIAN AND ALBANIAN LANGUAGE
Starting from next month , another daily-published newspaper  will
enter the Macedonian print media sphere. It is the "Global"
newsmagazine published in both Macedonian and Albanian language which
will be distributed throughout Macedonia. The owner of the newspaper
is Ljupcho Palevski - known as the owner of "UPA Enterprise" and Start
weekly.
According to Palevski, the main purpose of this newspaper is to
improve communication between Albanian and Macedonian people and
political parties.
