UNITED TRAINING SEMINAR
"GOODWILL HUNTING: VOLUNTARY WORK IN SUPPORT OF REFUGEES"
FEBRUARY 22-27 2000, NEAR ZITTAU (D)

As the situation for refugees in Europe has become more and more
difficult over the last couple of years, non-governmental
organisations have stepped in. NGOs provide legal aid, social care,
health care and political backing for refugees. This work is not
possible without the tireless help of volunteers.

This training seminar is aimed at long term volunteers working with
refugees and their co-workers. Participants will be both teacher and
student in an exchange of knowledge, experience and good practice. The
systems used from the side of the governments in one country could be
used in another the next day, knowing how to respond to such changes
could be crucial.
