News of Lezgin Region #10-98

- Nine Azerbaijani citizens were arrested for the attempt of
  illegal crossing of the Azerbaijani-Russian border.
- Russian military structures evacuate from Dagestan some
  archives, weapon and other important property
- Economic news on the Samur-Absheron channel
- Before Presidential elections of Oct 11, Heydar Aliyev visited
  some "Lezgin" regions, meet the military servicemen in Qusar
  and local population. About 5-6 thousands people participated
  in the meeting in Qusar.

News of Lezgin Region #11-98

- The attempts of crossing the border from Russia registered in
  Yalama and Samur check-points.
- The President Heydar Aliyev and the Minister of Interior Ramil
  Ububov met the Minister of Interior of Russia, Serghey
  Stepashin. The situation in Dagestan and border issues were
  discussed.
- Some economical news
- On Nov 14, the Lezgin National Movement "Sadval" held 7th
  congress in Derbent (Dagestan.) It results a kind of split of
  the leadership and announce of Lezgin authonomy.
- The Association for Women's Rights Protection in Azerbaijan
  finished the seminars on the electoral education of women in
  Khachmaz and Balakan.
- Because of absense of fuel, the forests in Qusar region are
  illegally cutted.
