AZERBAIJAN ACCEDED TO A NUMBER OF THE COUNCIL OF EUROPE CONVENTIONS

STRASBOURG/21.12.01/TURAN: Permanent representative of Azerbaijan in
the Council of Europe Agshin Mekhtiev, in the presence of the deputy
Secretary General of the Council of Europe Hans Christian Krag,
sighned today three documents: 

- European Charter of Local Self-Government;
- European Convention for the Prevention of Torture and Inhuman or
Degrading Treatment or Punishment, as well as its 1 and 2 Protocols; 
- European Charter for Regional or Minority Languages
