News from Peoplesite

*** News from the Peoplesite (www.people.hojoster.dk) ***

Dear Sir/Madame

With this I would like to make you aware of a new opportunity on the
Internet for everyone interested in and concerned about the rights and
security of the national, cultural and linguistic minorities in
Europe.

Peoplesite is a forum for debate, information and contacts for NGOs
and others with an interest in this area.

The address is: www.people.hojoster.dk

Peoplesite contains an article database, a debateforum, links to NGOs
in both East and Western Europe and finally a chat-page, where formal
chats are organized with European politicians and experts on minority
issues.

Peoplesite also contains a newsletter on minority issues.

Until now there has been formal chats between NGOs and politicians and
experts on the European Charter for the protection of the rights of
minorities and a chat about the Russian minorities in the East and
Central European Countries.

In January we plan for a debate with the Vice-President of the
European Parliament.

Peoplesite is associated with a course held each summer at the Danish
Folk High School stersen in the south of Denmark. A Minority Course
for young Europeans active in NGOs. A course which aim it is to
promote international understanding.
