Chapter 4

Names of Communities, their parts, streets and public areas and numbering of buildings

§ 29

(2) In the Community inhabited by members of national minorities the name of the community, their parts, streets and public areas and buildings of state organs and self-governed territories are used also in the language of national minority, providing that according to the last census of population at least 10% of citizens declared belonging to this minority and if at least 40% of adult citizens declaring belonging to this minority requested so in a petition.

(3) Community, in which territory according to the last census of the population lives at least 10% of citizens declaring nationality other then Czech, creates a committee on issues of national minorities. Members of this committee are also representatives of the national minority, providing they received nomination from their association created according to special legal provisions; members of national minorities must make at least half of all the members of the committee.
