ETHIC COUNCIL

Based on a principles of freedom, equality, national equality, peace, respect, dignity and human rights, rule of law and democratic multiparty system as the highest values of the Constitutionally defined system of Republic of Croatia, as well as principles of tolerance, honesty and honest campaigning that all election participants shall obey, in a way that after a strong but fair election race, citizens can use their Constitutional right for a freedom of vote and express the will of people, Ethic Council declares on 12 December 1999:

ELECTORAL ETHIC CODE

I. BASIC VALUES

2. During electoral campaign it is forbidden to call for violence, disseminate national, religious or racial hate or encourage gender inequality.

II. BEHAVIOUR OF ELECTION PARTICIPANTS

During the electoral campaign and the sole election procedure it is expected that parties and particular persons, who behaved against ht Electoral Ethic Codex, shall publicly apologize to persons they have damaged.

Electoral Ethic Codex shall come in force on a day of its delivery, and will be published in “Narodne novine”.
