ON CHANGES AND AMENDMENTS OF LAW ON CROATIAN NATIONAL RADIO AND TELEVISION

Article 5.

In Article 6. paragraph 3. changes to:
"Croatian National Radio and Television is obliged to produce and broadcast informative program for the members of Croatian nation abroad."

Article 8.

In Article 12. paragraph 2. changes to:
"Council of Croatian National Radio and Television consists of 23 members out of whom out of whom 10 are appointed by Croatian National Parliament being selected among representatives of Croatian National Parliament, in accordance with the strength of parties’ representation in the Parliament; one of these 10 members should be chosen from the representatives of Croatian Diaspora (representatives from the special list), and one member should be from national minorities. One member is selected on the recommendation of Croatian Universities, Croatian Academy of Science and Arts, Matice hrvatske, Croatian writers society, Croatian journalist society, Croatian musician society, Society of film and drama artists, Organizations from the Homeland War, Organizations in primary and secondary education, Croatian Olympic Council, Croatian matica of immigrants, Catholic Church, and one representative from all other religious communities."

ON AMENDMENTS OF LAW ON CROATIAN NATIONAL RADIO AND TELEVISION

Article 1.

In the Law on Croatian National Radio and Television ("Narodne novine", br. 43/82. - revised text) in Article 12. paragraph 2. after words: "structure of Croatian National Parliament" should be added: "with one member coming from the ethnic and national communities or minorities".

II. PROGRAM OBLIGATIONS OF CROATIAN NATIONAL RADIO AND TELEVISION

Article 6.

Croatian National Radio and Television is obliged to inform public honestly, objectively and in time on the political, economical, cultural, sport and other happenings and activities in the country and abroad.

Croatian National Radio and Television is obliged to produce and disseminate informative program for national minorities in Croatia.

Croatian National Radio and Television is obliged to produce and disseminate informative program for Croats in the neighboring countries, citizens temporarily working abroad, emigrants and foreign public.

III. MANAGEMENT

Article 12.

Council of Croatian National Radio and Television (hereinafter referred to as Council of CNRT) is formed for the purpose of influence of public onto the radio and TV programs that are of particular importance for the Republic of Croatia.

Council of CNRT consists of 35 members, out of whom 15 are appointed by Croatian National Parliament being selected among representatives of Croatian National Parliament, in accordance with the strength of parties’ representation in the Parliament; one member appoints each: Croatian University community, Croatian Academy of Science and Arts, Matica hrvatska, Croatian Society of Writers, Croatian Journalist Society, Croatian drama actors society, Croatian musician society, Catholic Church, Serbian Orthodox Church and Islamic community; while at the same time 10 members are selected by the employees of Croatian National Radio and Television in a way that is regulated by the CNB’s Statute.
