Law for Protection of the Consumers and for the Trade Rules

Article 3

(1) Before acquiring the commodity the consumer shall have the right to obtain information for:

1. its characteristics, including composition, packing, instruction for using, assembly and maintenance;

2. the price and the quantity;

3. the effect on other commodities in case of eventual joint usage;

4. the dangers related to its using or maintenance;

5. the conditions and the term of the guarantee;

6. the term of using.

(2) The entrepreneur shall be obliged to submit, in a suitable way, the information under para 1, which must be correct, full, precise and clear.

(3) The information under para 1, in its presentation in writing, must be in Bulgarian language and must be expressed in the units and values of the International System of Units SI.

Article 5

(1) Every entrepreneur shall be obliged to offer to the consumers commodities labelled in Bulgarian language.

Article 34

Deceitful is every advertisement which:

1. contains elements of discrimination regarding sex, race, religion, nationality, political convictions, age, physical or mental abilities or which offends the human dignity;
